He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Peterson; his wife Gail Peterson; and his sister Mary Beth Peterson. He is survived by: his mother Adell Peterson (Carlson) of Pecatonica; his brother-in-law Jim Lau; his son-in-law Heath; his grandson Carter; his friend Peterson Pool; his children, Eric Peterson of Lake Geneva, WI, Amy Bukoski (Tim) of Byron and Andrea McGrew (Heath) of Pecatonica; his grandchildren, Taylor McGrew (Drake Merrick) of Pecatonica and Jacob McGrew; his brothers, Kent Peterson (Lori) and John Peterson (Kay); his sisters-in-law, Linda Lau (Jim), Susan Mitchell and Shelly Martin; and his close friend Jennifer. He is also survived by cousins, nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers memorials will be established for First Lutheran Church in Pecatonica or academic scholarships at Pecatonica High School for Pecatonica High School graduates.
