He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Bethel and Mary Gajewski Bethel. He is survived by: his sister Nancy Hubert (Ron) of Mt. Olive, IL; his nephew Lanny Ribes (Dena) of Benld, IL; his nieces, Lisa Roberts (Jon) of Charlotte, NC and Lori Crossman of Benld, IL; his nephew-in-law Andy Crossman of Land; and his friend Lisa Kowlaski.
