He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Garnhart and Zelda Garnhart (Pierce); his son Jeff; his sister Mary Ann; his nephew Scott; his siblings-in-law, Doug Kitner, Jim Reed, Marie Garnhart and Margie Garnhart; and also, Burdette and Myrtle Parkinson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Parkinson; his son Jeffrey Garnhart; his siblings, Marvin Garnhart of Uvalde, TX, Charlotte Kitner of Sherburn, MN and Colleen Raders (Jim) of Lena, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Anita Reed, Lynn Parkinson of Bourbonnais, IL, Jim Parkinson (Nancy) of Forreston and Bill Parkinson (Nancy) of Springfield, TN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
On September 10, 1960 he married the love of his life, Carol Parkinson at the Little Brown Church in Nashau Iowa.
