Though Donald Eugene has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunice Gronemeyer (Moebus) and Leslie Gronemeyer; his wife Beverly Ann Bell of Mary's Roman Catholic Church; and his daughter Susan Gronemeyer. He is survived by: his children, Kathryn DeWaele (Robert) of Summerville, SC, Dr. Robert Gronemeyer (Jen) of Munster, IN, Mary Kiester (Dave) of Manhattan, IL, Patricia Wray (Jim) of Beecher City, IL and Margaret "Peggy" Gronemeyer of Savoy. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Baier Family Funeral Services (406 E Pells St, Paxton, IL 60957). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (407 W Pells St, Paxton, IL 60957).
Memorials may be made to Doctors Without Borders, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, School Sisters of St. Francis, Milwaukee, Wisconsin or the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
