He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth L. Brookman and Vera M. Sackett Brookman; his son Jeffrey Brookman; and his siblings, Darrell Brookman, Jean O'Dell, Barb Davis and Dona Hermsmeyer.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Sue Thrasher of Pawnee; his daughters, Deborah J. Pepelea of Terre Haute, Kimberly A. Keffer (Larry) of Wilsonville and Tonya R. Packenham (Jeff) of Pawnee; and his grandchildren, Matthew Pepelea (Natalya), Samantha Kuchar (Clint), Victoria Hopper (Tyler), Alexa Sieber (Jud) and Gage Thompson. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
