He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville W. Funsch and Janice C. Waters Funsch. He is survived by: his wife Debra of Pawnee; his children, Scott M. Funsch of Pawnee, Angela L. Hermes of New Berlin and Robin A. Jenkins (Nathan) of Assumption; his grandchildren, Blake, Brayden, Haylee, Jayden, Laykin, Logan, Paytin, Sam and Zain; and his siblings, Tom Funsch (Paula) of Springfield, Jim Funsch (Chellie) of Springfield and Janet Eagan of Springfield. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and cousins; and all the daycare children.
