She was predeceased by: her parents, Van Deavult and Edith Gilvin Deavult. She is survived by: her husband James Smith; her sons, Evan and Ryan; and her siblings, Sandy Bell (David) and Michael Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
