He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas L. "Jack" and Neva D. Gordon Roddy; his wife Rose Marie "Sue" Haas; his children, Debbie Landrey (Michael) of Pawnee, Jack Roddy of St. Louis, MO and Ed Roddy (Anita) of New Athens; his grandchildren, Josh, Zach, Matthew Roddy, James Roddy (Katy) and Jessica Bauer (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Marley, Dru, Ira, Dylan and Abby; and his siblings, Jim Roddy and Belle Roddy.
