She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Gillespie and Ardis Gillespie (Root); her husband Bill; her son John Schaaf; her son-in-law George Howe; her sister Lois Speck; and her brothers-in-law, Harold Smith, Frank Speck and Samuel Speck.
She is survived by: her children, Dana LaTour of Rochelle, Darcy Howe of Rochelle, Jerald Schaaf (Juanita) of Chicago Ridge and Barbara White (Randy) of Scarboro; her stepdaughter Bobbi Morgan of Ashton; her grandchildren, Christopher Howe (Morgan) of Rochelle, Jacqueline Nass (Kyle) of Naperville, Amanda Goodpaster (Sean) of Rochelle, Joshua White (Amy) of Ashton, Harmony Hilliker (Philip) of Rochelle, Breanna Schaaf of El Mirage, AZ and Justin Schaaf of Vine Grove, KY; her stepgranddaughters, Rebecca Soltas of Franklin Park and Nicole Koeppen (Kenneth) of Sugar Grove; and her sisters, Thelma Smith of Heber Springs, AR, Betty Speck of Elkhart, IN and Sandra Adcock (Harvey) of Heber Springs, AR. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
