Maria Bates Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 24, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Maria Bates of Patoka, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Newcomb and Frances Newcomb; her former husband Fritz Sprehe; her husband Larry Bates; her grandsons, Derek Moore and Cameron Garden; and her siblings-in-law, Norm Theiss and Sandy Newcomb.

She is survived by: her children, Paula Moore (Tim) of Sandoval, Greg Sprehe of Salem, Tracey Garden (Scott) of Salem, Gigi Baker (Barry) of Centralia and Mitzi Isaak (Marty) of Patoka; her grandchildren, Christi Dempsey, Angie Hunter (Wade), Amber Orrill (Derek), Kenny Sprehe (Mary), Stacie Meyer (Brandon), Christie Vandeloo (George), Alexa Garden, Lance Baker, Brittany Wright (Michael), Breanne Kuhn (Michael), Tyson Murray (Lindsey) and Whitney Lowery (Matt); her great grandchildren, Trenton, Armoni Dempsey, Elena Maria, Alaric Hunter, Keldon, Benson Orrill, Owen, Arianna, Raina Sprehe, Samuel Meyer, Ava Vandeloo, Noah, Sophie Wright, Alden Kuhn, Emmie Jo, Jake Murray, Liam Osterman, Nic, Alaina, Mia and Lilliana Lowery; her siblings, Gerri Theiss of Leesburg, FL and Dale Newcomb of Breese; and her close friend Linda Densmore. She is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.

A visitation time to offer condolences to the family will be held from 1:00 P. M. until the time of the service at the church on Sunday where those in attendance will be asked to wear a mask and the number of people in the church at one time will be limited.

Memorial donations may be made in Maria's honor to Patoka Fire/Ambulance Department and Patoka Christian Church.
