It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Romack of Patoka, Illinois, who passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Geraldine Romack to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Foster Nelson and Esther Edna Gideon (Wood); her husband Jim Romack; her son-in-law Joe Wadkins; and her granddaughter Katie Jo Wadkins.

She is survived by: her children, James Craig Romack (Janice) of Greenville and Lisa Wadkins of Patoka; her grandchildren, James Romack (Hannah) of Greenville, Amanda McDaniel (Andy) of Irvington and Daniel Wadkins (Kelsey) of Vandalia; and her brother J. C. Gideon (JoAnn) of Belleville. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Geri's honor to Patoka First Baptist Church or Patoka City Cemetery and will be accepted for the family at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka.

We shared many overnights at her grandparents’ house, made chocolate chip cookies, and I loved her dearly. I have been looking online for a couple of years, and I am heartbroken to have found her only a few weeks after her death. You have my sympathies. She was a great person and was so loving. She will be missed by all who loved her and by her enduring friendships. Alice”
