She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Bates and Ada Bates (Arnold); and her siblings, Paul Bates, Edwin Bates, Louis Bates Jr., Larry Bates and Lucille Caldwell.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur Easton; her daughter LuAnn Jones (Kevin) of Edwardsville; her grandchildren, Adam Jones (Grace) of St. Louis and Whitney Jones (Nick) of Chicago; and her brother Bill Bates (Marilyn) of Vernon.
Memorials may be made in Eleanor's honor to Patoka Christian Church and the Patoka Fire and Ambulance Service and will be accepted for the family at the funeral home 234 S. Elm Centralia, IL 62801.
