He was predeceased by: his parents, Coleman and Mary of Connemara; and his siblings, Mary Ann Kotz (Joseph), John (Darlene), Patrick, Michael and James.

He is survived by: his children, Colleen, Brett Benteler (Maggie) and Stefan Benteler (Melody); his grandchildren, Berlin, Vera Benteler and Sofia Gomez; and his sister Teresa Duffy (Frank).

In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriner's Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research, or Wounded Warriors Project would be appreciated.
