She was predeceased by: her adoptive parent Geoff Kieres (Monica); her husband Michael; and her granddaughter Nicole Brodzik (Jon). She is survived by: her daughter Catherine Kohl (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Jessica Steffan (Don), Christopher Kohl, Nicholas, Zachary, Shawn Bolin, Stephanie, Seth Boone, Jason Pizza, Andrew Schulze (Frankie), Matthew and Connor Lehman; her stepchildren, Mari Bauer, Geri Bolin (James), Lisa Boone, Mike (Shari), Donna Schulze (Joerg) and Erica (Todd); her nieces, Laura and Julie; and her nephew Ronnie Burke.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Triple Negative Cancer Foundation or Wright-Way Rescue in memory of Michele K. Pizza.
