She was predeceased by: her husband Martin Staunton; her grandson Liam Mullane; and her siblings, Bridie Godley (late Jackie), Thomas Heneghan (Nora) and Michael.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Jo Mullane (William), Margaret Grahn (Paul), Brigid Hay (David) and Martin (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Colleen, Caitlin, Jack Grahn, Michael, Samantha, Colin Hay, Lilly and Martin Staunton Jr.; and her siblings, James (Mary Ann) and Nancy Maguire (Peter).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooney Funeral Home (625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A prayer was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Juliana Church (7201 N Oketo Ave, Chicago, IL 60631).
