She was predeceased by: her husband Martin Murphy; her parents, Margaret Higgins and Patrick Higgins; her sisters, Bridget Alpert (Ted), Kathleen Walsh (Tim) and Ita Higgins; and her son Anthony Murphy (Catherine).

She is survived by: her siblings, Willie Higgins (Sally) and Eileen Sugrue (Jim); and her children, Michael Murphy, Patricia Esbrook (Jim), Marty Murphy (Wendy) and Eileen Murphy (Yvette). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Misericordia Home or The National Shrine of St. Frances X. Cabrini.
