John Garvey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Garvey of Park Ridge, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Rev. Thomas F. Garvey S. C. J., Claire DiProva (Don), Mary Aileen Pelrine (John) and Catherine Therese Garvey; and his parents, Thomas Garvey and Agnes Garvey.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Garvey; his children, John J. Garvey, Jr. (Janet), Thomas Francis Garvey, Ellen Therese Garvey and Sara Joanne Nagy (Chris); his stepchildren, David J. Schmidt (Lisa) and Vicki R. Farmer (David); his grandchildren, Patrick Garvey (Sarah), Megg Wallen (Justin), Kaitlin Schmidt, Rebecca Royal (Jordan), Alexis Schmidt, Abigail Farmer and Alyson Farmer; his great grandchildren, Bridget Wallen, Clara Garvey and Lilliana Royal; and his siblings, Rita O'Connor (Tom) and Michael Garvey (Linda).
A wake will be held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ryan-Parke Funeral Home (120 S NW Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Ryan-Parke Funeral Home (320 S Washington Ave, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Paul of the Cross Church (320 S Washington Ave, Park Ridge, IL 60068).
