He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Barbara; and his grandsons, Sean Fiolan and Michael. He is survived by: his wife Maureen; his children, Sarah Godley (Richard), Barbara Contreras (Abel) and James; and his grandchildren, Aileen, Liam, Joseph, Abbie, Tom (Nora), Peige (Sean Donoghue), Barbara (late Michael Flaherty), Nora, Patrick, Morgan, Mary (late Coleman), Kate (Robert), Joe (Marie) and Bridget.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooney Funeral Home (625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St Benedict Church (2215 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60618).
