She was predeceased by: her husband Theodore; her sister Panagiota Douva (late Dimitrios); her siblings-in-law, Tasia Georginis (late Pete), Maria Bagianis (late Andy), Pete Athans (late Joanne) and John Athans (late Loula); and her parents, Haralambos Liakopoulos and Tasia Liakopoulos.
She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Tony T. Athans and Bobby T. Athans (Cathy); her grandsons, Theodore and George; her sister Argyroula Hondros (Constantinos); and her siblings-in-law, Constantina Chronis (late George) and James Athans (late Eleanor). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 2350 E. Dempster Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016 and to the Greek American Rehabilitation & Care Center, 220 1st Street, Wheeling, IL 60090.
