He was predeceased by: his grandparents, J. D. Rose, Sr. and Sephronia Topps-Rose; his mother Juanita J. Rose; his sister Gina S. Rose-Mayo; and his uncles, J. D. Rose, Jr. and Jewel "Tony" Smith.

He is survived by: his son Matthew Rose; and his siblings, Viola Price, Tamisha A. Rose-Williams (Kelly), Charlie F. Price, Anthony A. Rose and David E. Rose, Sr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
