He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Helen; his brother Tommie Thompson; and his mother Bessie Thompson. He is survived by: his son Cleve Jr.; his stepchildren, Ledell (Sheila) and Monetta (Dan); his grandchildren, Terrance, Donte', Valente', Malika and Nahkea; his great grandchildren, Makayla, Santana and Ameera; and his sisters, Bessie Jean, Janice and Parthenia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
