He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Layton and Estella Jane Kelly (Whitesell). He is survived by: his wife Judith Fern Cary; his children, Karen Burger (Rick) of Terre Haute and Scott Kelly (Kris) of Dubuque, Iowa; his grandchildren, Brenton Burger (Alexis) of Terre Haute, Trevor Burger of Terre Haute, Katie of Dubuque and Jacob Kelly of Dubuque; and his great grandchildren, Nolan and Dustin Burger.
