She was predeceased by: her parent Austin Newman; her stepson Richard Van Houtin; her nephews, Terry Newman, Danny J. Newman, Denzel Terrell and Russell Terrell; and her siblings, Louis Newman and Margaret Newman.
She is survived by: her parent Barbara Cunningham Newman; her spouse Hurley Van Houtin; her stepchildren, Art Van Houtin of Paris, Olin Van Houtin of Ashmore and Jerry Van Houtin of Paris; and her niece-in-law Margaret Newman of Paris. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
