He was predeceased by: his stepfather Robert Sanders; his nephew Clio Means; and his grandparents, Edgar Means and Libby Pine Elam. He is survived by: his parents, Donnie James Means (Heidi) and Georgia Ann Sanders (Pine) of Paris; his wife Georgina Cooper; his sons, Bradley Allen Means and Aadin James Means; his brother Jim Means (Cathy) of Tuscola, Illinois; and his parents-in-law, Topper, Maude Jarvis, Della Henderson (David) and Molly Cooper. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to a fund for the benefit of his children in care of First Mid Bank of Paris.
