He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Ray and Lucile Ray (Mott); and his siblings, Maurice "Pete" Ray, Mary Lou Timmons and Joann Lee.
He is survived by: his spouse Kay Ann Hale; his daughter Rebecca Sue "Becky" Perry (Rick) of Paris; his siblings, James Ray (Carolyn) of Paris and Nema Rose Brown (Jim) of Terre Haute; his grandchildren, Shellie Travis (Jared) of Teutopolis and T. J. Richey (Brittney) of Effingham, Illinois; and his great grandchildren, Audrey, Clara Travis and Sebastian Richey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
