He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Sturgell and Lela Catherine Sturgell (Brown). He is survived by: his wife Debora "Debbie" Kay Sturgell of Paris, Illinois; his children, Kris Sturgell (Jaime Rukstales) of Gurnee and Travis Sturgell (Stefanie) of Paris, Illinois; his grandchildren, Kade Ray and Jones Sturgell; and his siblings, Mark Sturgell of Decatur, Becky Guthrie of St. Charles, Betty Kay Lammle of Olathe and Cindy Muchow of Paris, Illinois..
