He is survived by: his wife Cathy Sue Perry; his children, Richard Melendez (Daila) of Los Angeles, Anthony Melendez (Monica) of Los Angeles, Dr. David Melendez (Lorraine) of San Diego, Gregory Melendez (Lauren) of Los Angeles and Laura Seely (Rick) of San Diego; his stepson Kevin Kelleher (Lorie) of Santa Fe; his brother Robert Melendez (Lynn) of Somerville; his grandchildren, Colin, Evan Melendez, Sierra, Olivia Melendez, Jacob Melendez (Anna), Lucas Melendez (Courtney), Alisa Melendez, Mikayla, Cambrya Melendez, Grace, Lila Seely, Jasmine and Kaylee Kelleher; and his great grandchildren, Ruth, Emery and Miles Melendez.
