He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Leon and Grace Pearl Martin (Haddix); his wife Sharon Martin; and his brothers, Robert "Bob" Martin and Kenneth Martin.

He is survived by: his sons, James Dean Martin (Wanda) of Williamsport and Kevin R. Martin of Johnstown; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Nicholas, Mandi and Pierce. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
