He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hanks and Marzelle Hanks (Wagoner); his wife Sherri L. Gilbert; and his daughter Jennifer S. Hanks. He is survived by: his children, Philip "Mike" Hanks (Cheryl) of Paris and Ann Servis (Jeff) of Clinton, Indiana; his brother Paul Hanks of Paris; his grandchildren, Tarra, Allie Hanks of Paris, Jacob Richards of Paris, Sydney Quick of Chrisman, Hannah and Jessica Servis of Clinton; and his great grandchildren, Zayden Potter, Zeke Hanks, Ayvah Hanks, Malcolm Bradford and Callum Richards. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
