She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis A. "Luke" Hovis, Sr. and Shirley Ann Hovis (Davis); her husband Robert Eugene Peebles; her siblings, Lewis "Butch" Hovis, Jr., Pamela Kraemer and Linda Hovis; and her brother-in-law Don Gale.

She is survived by: her daughter Angela Mallard of Shelbyville, Tennessee; her siblings, Paul Hovis of Paris, Terri Crain (Richard) of Paris, Mitzi Daniels (Rick) of Paris and Rachael Hovis of Paris; her grandchildren, Kara Eveland, Kyra Cable and Kayla Eveland; her great grandchildren, Joseph Vincent, Rhiley Brown, Grace Brown, Mackenzie Brown, Teagan Brown, Charleigh Cable and Gabriel Cable; and her pets, Hershey and Maizy.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to Heritage Family Church of Paris.
