She was predeceased by: her parents, Dow Thompson and Dessie Thompson (Cooley); her husband James Daniel Pittman; her son Dennis Pennington; her son-in-law Scott Liggett; her siblings, Victor, Max Thompson and Madge Washburn; and her grandson Randall Joseph.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanette Joseph (Daniel) of Paris, Candace Myles of Marshall, Deena Nash (Kerry) of Pittsfield and Jo Liggett of Paris; her sister Doris Pittman of Sacramento, California; her daughter-in-law Linda Pennington of Sneedville, Tennessee; and her grandchildren, Justin Joseph (Angel), Nicholas Myles, Tanecia Long, Josh Nash, Michael Nash (Ashlee) and Tiffany Bracken (Vernon). She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Templeton Funeral Home - Paris (600 E Court St, Paris, IL 61944). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Oliver United Methodist Church or to the American Heart Association.
