With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louisa M. Young of Paris, Illinois, born in Vermilion, Illinois, who passed away on June 1, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nobyl Powers and Mary Powers (Cassel); and her sisters, Patricia Snedeker (Paul) and Mary Alice Foley (Chuck). She is survived by: her children, Stephen K. Young (Lynn) of Paris, Karen Hutchings of Paris, Brad Young (Judy) of Terre Haute and Scott Young of Paris; her grandchildren, Matt Young (Danette) of Paris, Justin Young (Jamie Thompson) of Mattoon, Tim Young (Stephanie) of Monticello, Travis Hutchings (Betsy) of Dahinda, Erika Hutchings of Paris, Blake Young (Jenni) of Homer, Brock Young (Sarah) of Rossville, Blair Dosch (T. J.) of Mattoon, Hayley Dorsett of Terre Haute and Mallorie Shotts (Kurtis) of O'Fallon, Illinois; her great grandchildren, Kendra, Kailey Young, Logan, Carter Thompson, Gwen, Cora Young, Alyssa Martin, Abbi, Emma, Wyatt, Waylon Young, Claire Young, Lillian, Ella Black, Hank, Sadie Dosch, Averly Hand, Marcus Dorsett and Elijah Shotts; and her close friends, Martha Willoughby of Paris and Elaine Armstrong of Paris.

For those who wish, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shop With A Cop.
