Kay Haddix Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay Haddix of Paris, Illinois, born in Newman, Illinois, who passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles T. Payne and Neva Payne (Soards); her husband John Oscar Haddix; her brother Terry Payne; and her great grandchild Wren McCarty.

She is survived by: her sons, John Dirk Haddix (Michelle) of Paris, Tim Haddix of Paris and Jeff Haddix (Sandy Filbeck) of Paris; her sister Rae Gher (Butch) of Paris; her siblings-in-law, Dixie Payne of Paris and Richard Brown of Paris; and her grandchildren, Jordan Haddix, Kelsey McCarty (Aaron), Ryan Haddix (Danielle), Whitney Dunlap (Nathan), Taylor Haddix (Brianne), Yancee Haddix and Oakley Hixon (Jamie). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Compassionate Food Pantry or to Otterbein United Methodist Church.
