It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Dorothy Jr. (Paris, Illinois), who passed away on February 8, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jay and Mary Dorothy, Sr. (Smith); his daughter Sandra K. Korte; his sons-in-law, Raymond Moore and Dan Mohler; and his sisters, Rose Johnson, Merta Simmons and Frances Willoughby.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Brown; his daughters, Rebecca S. Moore of Paris and Deborah Scott (Daniel) of Paris; his siblings, Lloyd Dorothy of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ruthie Poynter (Jim) of Paris and Naomi Leeman (Jesse) of Danville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Bradley Korte (Genevieve), Darrick Korte (Kara), Logan Korte (Alyssa Camp) and Garrett Eveland; and his great grandchildren, Nolan, Reese, Gavin, Gabe and Haisley Korte. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Honor Flight Network.
