It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James H. Mathis of Paris, Illinois, who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Mathis and Mary Mathis (Mount). He is survived by: his wife Cindy Lou Mink; his daughters, Megan and Malloree Mathis; his grandparent Taylor Shewey of Paris; and his siblings, Robert Mathis (Marirae) of Gallatin, Tennessee, Peggy Barath of Paris and Coralie Smittkamp (Dean) of Paris. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
More than anything, Jim loved being Dad and Papa Jim to his "three girls."For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to First Christian Church of Paris.
