With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jackie L. Chord Sr. of Paris, Illinois, born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, who passed away on November 10, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Chord and Illean Chord (Brown). He is survived by: his children, Debra Brown (Gary) of Paris, Julia Sisco (James) of Paducah, Bradley W. Arrasmith (Dawn) of Chrisman, Karla Hutson (Richard) of Paris and Randy Arrasmith (Chastity) of Paris; his siblings, John David Chord of Danville, Illinois and Mary Ann Porter of Sumner, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Christopher Timmerman of Paris, Alex Arrasmith (Nikki) of Terre Haute, Samantha Kendall (Drew) of Paris, Bailey Lawson (Nathan Rippy) of Clinton, Carrie Higginbotham (Travis) of Paris, Cory Hutson of Paris, Leanna Wilhoit (John) of Paris, Jordan Arrasmith of Jersey City and Mekenzie Arrasmith (Abe Norman) of Paris. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
