He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Eugene and Mary Anna Barkley (Winans). He is survived by: his daughters, Kara Lynn Rose (Larry) of Newburgh and Jana Michele Holmes (Ryan) of Savoy, Illinois; his brother Dale Barkley (Diana) of Paris; and his grandchildren, Braylon Eugene Rose (Samantha Denison), Brylee Marie Rose, Kaelyn Grace Holmes and Kamryn Jo Holmes.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Paris or to the IAA Foundation.
