He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Givens and Leta Lucille Givens (Moss); his granddaughter Laura Givens; and his siblings, Orval Lee "Bo" Givens and Beverly Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Mildred Lynn Renner of Paris, Michael Allen Givens (Betty) of Roachdale, David Lee Givens (Marjorie) of Hudson and William O. Givens (Nancy) of Charleston; his sister Patricia Irvine of Paris; his grandchildren, Bryce Givens of Vandalia, Hannah Givens of Charleston, Megan Scheffer of Charleston, Zac Givens of Des Moines, Rachel Givens of Indianapolis, David Andrew Givens of Desoto, Joseph Givens of St. Paul, Rebecca Chung of Waterloo and Steven Renner of Paris; and his great grandchildren, Elijah Givens of St. Paul, Micaiah Givens of St. Paul and Cade Scheffer of Charleston.
