He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Cassity and Carol Cassity (Colter); and his stepdaughter Chelsie Gann. He is survived by: his children, David Fitzgerald (Amber) of Jenks and Erin Cox (Jonathan) of Terre Haute; his significant other Angela Gann of Paris; his stepdaughter Sierra Gann of Paris; his siblings, Kathy Campbell of Paris, Mark Cassity of Paris and Mike Cassity of Paris; and his grandchildren, Kennedy Fitzgerald of Jenks, Caeden Ennen of Terre Haute, Christopher Pennell, Gracelynn Pennell, Cameron Williams and Sophia Cline.
