Brady S. Garver Obituary
Brady Scott Garver, 48, of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 12:39 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022, at Carle Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. He was a teller at the former First Bank & Trust and Citizens National Bank of Paris and had also worked at Monical's Pizza.
He was born May 21, 1973, in Paris, the son of Kenneth Eugene and Nancy (Peters) Garver. He married Carol Jean Cronkright on June 26, 2001, in Tennessee, and she survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Nancy Garver of Paris; seven children, Brayden Scott Garver, Christian Garver, Lukas Garver, Zachary Garver, Tyrell Garver, Cyrus Umberger, and Briella Umberger, all at home; two brothers, Jeff (Lee) Garver of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Michael (Julie) Garver of Paris; a sister, Sherry (Greg) Goodwin of Paris; extended family members Dustin and Brittany Umberger of Paris; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Garver attended Indiana State Universtiy and Indiana Business College, and was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. He was an active, hard-working member of Chrisman Christian Church of Chrisman, Illinois. Brady loved his church family and was always willing to help out where needed. Brady and Carol found their greatest reward in serving as foster parents through One Hope United, and he was happiest when spending time with his kids.
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to a fund in Brady's name for the benefit of his children in care of Longview Bank of Paris.
SERVICE INFORMATION Services celebrating his life were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Templeton Funeral Home. Pastor Troy Warner officiated, and burial followed in Edgar Cemetery. Casket bearers were Wayne Cronkright, Michael Garver, Bryant Goodwin, Mike Papadakos, Justin Sunkel, and Dustin Umberger. Honorary casket bearer was Greg Goodwin. Visitation was from noon until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the family present after 4 p.m.
