She was predeceased by: her parent Austin Newman; her stepson Richard Van Houtin; her nephew Terry Newman; and her siblings, Louis Newman and Margaret Newman.

She is survived by: her parent Barbara Cunningham Newman; her spouse Hurley Van Houtin; and her stepchildren, Art Van Houtin of Paris, Olin Van Houtin of Ashmore and Jerry Van Houtin of Paris. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
