She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Bright and Zola W. Bright; her husband Robert Lee Dawson; and her siblings, Betty Mansfield, Bill Bright and Richard "Dick" Bright.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Dawson (Carolyn) of Paris, Tony Dawson (Jane) of Paris, Kary Dawson of Paris and Regina Lenhart (Omer) of Paris; her grandchildren, Luke Peebles, Briar Dawson, Erica Dawson, Amanda Dye (Ben), Aaron Storey (Meredith) and Peyton Lenhart; her great grandchildren, Riley Dawson, Haven Dawson, Brielle Dye, Conrad Dye, Emmitt Storey and Eli Storey; her sister-in-law Carolyn Kurth; and her friend Leila Melton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home (303 E Wood St, Paris, IL 61944).
Memorials in honor of Barbara may be made to the Edgar County Humane Association.
