She was predeceased by: her parents, George L. Refearn and Burnetta Refearn (McGill); and her brother Stephen Redfearn. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth E. Essex of Panama; her daughters, Melanie Tarver (Nathan Drew) of Panama and Erica LeMaster (Derek) of Edwardsville; her stepsons, Benjamin Essex (Tanya) of Richmond, VA and Theodore Essex (Liz) of West Frankfort; her grandchildren, Macenzie Knox, Maressa Tarver, Maryn Tarver and Ava Essex; and her brothers, Michael of Panama, Daniel of Panama and George Redfearn of Panama. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
