William S. Chernisky Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William S. Chernisky of Pana, Illinois, who passed away on August 10, 2023 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Chernisky and Maria Chernisky (Tokoly); his wife Mary Ellen Spalding; his son Donald "Beef" Chernisky; and his siblings, Joseph Chernisky, Edward Chernisky, John Chernisky, Julia Boesch, Victoria Kull, Paula Wells, Albert Chernisky, Mildred Hennessy and Ann Chernisky.

He is survived by: his sons, Bill Chernisky (Cheri) of Greenwood, IN and Mike Chernisky (Deb) of O'Fallon, MO; his daughter-in-law Brenda Chernisky of Pana, IL; and his grandchildren, Angela Bolender (Michael) of Lake Villa, IL, Monica Burns (Cris), David Chernisky (Julia) of Pana, IL and Brock Chernisky (Sarah) of Raymore, MO. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.

Memorials in Bill's honor may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
