He was predeceased by: his father Thomas J. Phillips, Sr.; his daughters, Cynthia J. "Cindy" Phillips-Latonis and Patricia M. "Trish" Spracklen; and his grandson Thomas Phillips Latonis. He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth A. "Beth" Bennett (David) of Madison, WI; his son-in-law Tom Latonis of Pana, IL; his grandchildren, Alicia Phillips Bennett Dingee (Alex), Nicole Phillips Bonn (Josh) and Jacob Thomas Latonis; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Dean "J. J." Bonn, Jr., Ellie Nicole Bonn and Archer James Dingee.
Tom was the past president of the Pana Lions Club, Pana Chamber of Commerce, and a charter member of the Pana Community Hospital Foundation Board.
