He was predeceased by: his wife Cora Sue Hughes; his sons, Roy Curtis Ginger and Robert Ginger; his granddaughter Brenda Sylvester; his great grandchildren, Kimberly, Roy Oren and Luke Michael; and his siblings, Betty Hinds, Barbara Allen, Ray Ginger, Alice Brown, Nial Ginger and Veda Rogers.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Ginger (Keri) of Morrisonville, IL, Carrie Milligan (Mark) of Taylorville, IL, Sheila Russell (Mike) of Highland, IL, Danny Ginger (Susie) of Pana, IL and Edward "Dave" Ginger of Pana, IL; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Ginger of Taylorville, IL; and his brother-in-law John Brown. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren.
