It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosemary (Vail) Wood of Pana, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Rosemary may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rosemary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Vail and Mary Vail (Ricketts); and her daughter Lena Devore. She is survived by: her children, Jeanie Brachear, Trish Brodock and William Wood.
