He was predeceased by: his mother Florence "Jake"; his brother Joe Banning; and his brother-in-law Karl Walk. He is survived by: his father Ben "Jake"; and his siblings, Kenny Banning (Mary) of Pana, Phil Banning (Cheryl) of Pana, Bill Banning, Rich Banning (Lyn) of Sullivan, Illinois, Judy Banning of Decatur, Julie Thorpe (Art) of Baltimore and Janet Walk of Kirkwood, Missouri. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews and seventeen (17) Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Sacred Heart School of Pana.
