It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kenneth R. Mathes of Pana, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on June 1, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Mathes and Margaret L. Mathes (Crum); and his siblings, William, Ronald, Harold and Marjorie Mathes.
He is survived by: his former wife Carla Suhrbier; his wife Violet "Susie" Dean; his children, Geoffrey Mathes of Assumption, IL and Holly Marston (Chris) of Assumption, IL; his stepsons, Todd Cravens (Mindi) and Jeff Cravens (Angela) of Pana, IL; and his brother Larry Mathes of Stonington, IL.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandsons.
Memorials in Kenneth's honor may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois or Pana Community Hospital Foundation for Quad County Hospice and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
