He is survived by: his sons, Gordon Matthews of Jackson, MS, David Matthews (Susan) of Pana, IL and Ted Matthews of Litchfield, IL; his grandchildren, Rachel Matthews, Justin Matthews (Angie), Jared Matthews (Kim), Jason Matthews (Erica) and Whitney Weddle (Ian); and his sister Carolyn Gorsich. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
